Delivery service and charges

We are currently unable to deliver outside of the United Kingdom.

DELIVERY CHARGES
A £6.50 delivery charge applies for each delivery address. To send orders to multiple addresses you will need to place separate orders.

UK MAINLAND DELIVERY
UK mainland (excluding Scottish Highlands) orders are shipped via our preferred courier DPD.

DPD typically deliver Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays).

We cannot guarantee specific delivery days.

When booking the delivery with DPD, we will use the email provided on your order to receive notifications.

Once DPD have your parcel, you will be sent an email from them with options to rearrange or add delivery instructions via the DPD delivery website. On the day of delivery, DPD will send an email with details of your one hour delivery time slot. You can find full details on the DPD website here.

UK OFFSHORE & SCOTTISH HIGHLANDS DELIVERY
Orders to the Isle of Wight, Scottish Islands & Highlands, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, and Northern Ireland will be dispatched using either Royal Mail or DPD, whichever is the cheapest option. These are usually delivered within 4 working days from dispatch.

PO BOX DELIVERY
We’re sorry but we cannot dispatch to PO Box addresses.

INCOMPLETE OR INACCURATE ADDRESSES
Please ensure the delivery address and postcode details you enter on your order are accurate – we will attempt delivery to an address as you enter it and cannot accept liability for late or failed delivery due to an incorrect address.

Christmas orders

Please place all orders by Thursday 19 December, 9am. Orders placed after this time will be dispatched on 2 January 2025

At the checkout you can select a dispatch date nearer to Christmas, up to and including Friday 20th December, which is the last day for dispatch to arrive in time for Christmas. Dispatch is the day the order leaves us, NOT the day it is delivered.

If you need any help deciding the best date to select for dispatch, please do contact us and we can help.

The whole business will be closed from 5pm on 24th December until 2 January 2025. Orders placed in this period will be dispatched upon our return.

Future dispatch

At the checkout, you have the option to select a future dispatch date. Please note, dispatch is the day the order leaves us, NOT the day it is delivered.

Do you have a minimum order?

No, you can order as much or as little as you wish. We charge our standard £6.50 delivery on every order regardless of quantity.

How will I be updated on my order?

When you place your order, you will receive a Honeybuns Order Confirmation email with your order number. Please check the details on this email carefully and do get in touch with us if you need anything changed, we will be happy to help.

On the day we dispatch your order, you will be sent a Honeybuns Dispatch Confirmation email.

How quickly will you process my order?

We aim to process and dispatch orders within 2 working days. If you have chosen a specific dispatch date at the checkout, then your order will be dispatched on your chosen date.

When will I receive my order?

The majority of orders are delivered within 48 hours of the order being dispatched, although some consignments may take a little longer.

Will you include an invoice with my parcel?

We don’t include invoices with parcels, as many of the orders are gifts. When you place the order, you will receive an Order Confirmation invoice by email.

What happens if I would like my parcel left in a safe place or if I’m out when you deliver?

If you would like your parcel left in a safe place or delivered to a neighbour, please leave details in the ‘Order notes’ section at the checkout. Alternatively, at the checkout you can select delivery to a different address.

If you’re not in when DPD attempt delivery, normal standard practice is they will re-attempt delivery. You should receive a ‘Sorry we missed you’ card through the door and an email notifying you of what has happened with your parcel, with details on how to reschedule delivery on a day that suits you. However, sometimes the driver will attempt to leave your parcel in a safe place or with a neighbour. At peak periods, for example around Christmas, DPD may leave the parcel with your local pickup shop.

Can I freeze my order?

On the day of dispatch, we take the cakes for your order from frozen stock. All our cakes are safe to refreeze on receipt for up to 3 months if you wish, unless otherwise stated on our website and in the paperwork with your order.

What is the shelf life of my cakes?

The cakes are not individually date stamped but details on shelf life are included with your order. You can find information about the shelf life in the product listing in our online shop.

Can I add a gift message / gift wrap?

When you place your order, you can add a gift message at the checkout. You can also select one of our gift stamps to include on the gift card at no extra charge.
Our beautiful gift wrap is only £4.50 and will make any present that extra bit special; with eco kraft paper, gift tag and card, and luxury red ribbon and tissue paper. This can be added at the checkout. Please note that coupon codes cannot be redeemed against gift wrap.

What if my parcel is a surprise?

If you want to keep your gift a surprise then you are able to choose an alternative delivery address at the checkout, or if that’s not suitable then please add a note when ordering that you would like your parcel sent without Honeybuns branding on the outer packaging.

I have a discount code

If you have a discount code, enter this code into the discount code box at the checkout and click the ‘Apply discount’ button. Once applied, the discount will be displayed straight away. Discount codes are not valid on gift wrap or shipping charges. Only one discount code can be used per transaction.

I have a gift voucher

If you have gift voucher, add the code at the checkout. Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of issue. Please see our full Gift Voucher T&C’s here.

Can I recycle the packaging in my order?

The only plastic packaging we use is the cake wrapper film (polypropylene). This is widely recycled and is now accepted by most large UK supermarkets including Tescos. All our other packaging is plastic free and recyclable. We use kraft bubble wrap and send all orders in Honeybuns branded fully recyclable and biodegradable kraft mailing bags or boxes.
