CELEBRATING THE AWARD-WINNING TASTE OF DORSET

The final award of the evening was the BVM's own Harmsworth Award for the outstanding contribution to food in dorset, judged by the magazine's chief reporter and Field and Stream writer Mat Manning and farmer Ruth Kimber, who won the 2010 Taste of Somerset Harmsworth Award. They judged a formidable quartet - Claire Burnet, the chocolate wizard who with her husband Andy has just published her first book, Aiden Chapman of the Phoenix Bakery in Weymouth, Nik Ralph of Dorset Farmers Markets and Emma Goss-Custard, the founder and driving creative force of Honeybuns, the gluten-free bakery at holwell near Sherborne. The winner was Emma Goss-Custard, who said the award was for the whole team who work with her and her husband Matt.
