Honeybuns coming to Waitrose

Delicious gluten-free and regular treats from Holwell-based bakery Honeybuns will shortly be available in local Waitrose stores.

As from August 2003, four varieties of Honeybuns products will be available at the patisserie counter of Waitrose stores in Westbourne, Dorchester, Winton and Gillingham. “The feed back we have received from Waitrose about our cakes has been very encouraging. We are looking forward to becoming recognised as a local specialist cake baker. “We are especially pleased, as one of the products to be sold at Waitrose is the Dorset Apricot Butterjack,” explains Emma Goss-Custard, owner of Honeybuns. Ten percent of the proceeds from all Butterjacks sold will be donated to Cancer Care Dorset.

After moving to an old dairy farm in Dorset in January 2003, Honeybuns have fully restored an old stone barn, which now houses the bakery.

“Visitors are welcome to phone up a day or two in advance and arrange to come and have a look round. We also offer a newly launched mail order service, which we are happy to advise people on,” says Emma.

Honeybuns can be contacted on 01963 23597.
