THE BEE SHACK

The Bee Shack is our own little cafe. It is very rustic & used to be a chicken hut. With the help of talented friends & family we have decorated this humble venue with bunting and lots of honeybuns photos, memorabilia and some of the awards we have won. Our opening times are now 11am -5pm on the first Saturday of every month. We serve Fairtrade drinks including coffees, hot chocolate & teas as well as our own cakes. Cute Honeybuns hoodies , T shirts & mugs are also available to buy.

We do lots of sampling of cakes too so there is plenty of opportunity to taste the more unusual things we do. We serve light gluten free lunches too. Booking is essential if you'd like lunch. If you pick up a Bee Shack loyalty card you can collect stamps and receive your 5th cake free.

The Bee Shack is available for hire when we are not using it. It is an ideal venue for arts classes and yoga for example.

The lunch options are:

BumbleO 1:
Red pepper and onion farinata flatbread topped with onion marmalade, a blend of vintage Denhay cheddar and stilton, sprinkled with roasted sun blush tomatoes and basil.

BumbleO 2:
Red pepper and onion farinata flatbread topped with onion marmalade, with a mix of garlic roasted red peppers and mushrooms, beechwood smoked tofu and toasted pumpkin seeds.

Served with either:
Crushed new potatoes baked with rosemary butter AND roasted summer vegetables in a (mild) chili and balsamic glaze.

OR Mixed salad

Both of these delicious little numbers have won GOLD at the Great Taste Awards at National level.

Served with either:

 Purbeck Vanilla Ice Cream OR Lashings of double cream.

We also serve Fresh Filter Coffee from Reeds Coffee Roasters in Sherborne.
Each coffee is served with a homemade sliver of something chocolatey too.

We make all of the Lunches fresh to order so booking is essential.

We could make dairy free lunches if given 2 days notice.

Please note: we do not have any matching furniture nor cups or saucers! Our Bee Shack is homely and down to earth. Wooly jumpers with holes, lively toddlers and smiley faces welcome.

In addition to the opening times above, we open for special occasions at other times, for example at Christmas and during Dorset Art Weeks.

Cards from Becky Unwin a talented local artist are also available for sale in the Bee Shack.

Dorset Art Weeks

During Dorset Art Weeks 2006, Kim Creswell exhibited her willow sculptures in the Bee Shack. Honeybuns and Kim Creswell received an investment from Arts & Business New Partners to further develop their creative partnership. Arts & Business New Partners is funded by Arts Council England and the Department for Culture, Media and Sport.
