Thank you to everyone who visited our Honeybuns Cafe at Glasto 2008. It was a delight to have a sunny festival this year. People could actually laze out on the grass and chill in deckchairs beneath our iconic pink parasol.
We were thrilled to be written up in the official programme this year:
“Try Honeybuns Cafe opposite the Jazz Lounge. Honeybuns' heavenly cakes... have to be tasted to be believed."

Bee Green Bee.
Slaying dragons of waste and pollution.

Being green at Honeybuns is second nature to us
- please excuse the pun.

We are constantly striving to go even greener though. Our new team loo is going to feature a rainwater flushing option and by simply popping a brick inside the cistern on your normal loo you can radically reduce flushing water. Packaging is a prickly issue. With all but 2 of our products being gluten free we have to protect our cakes from gluten contamination. This is one of the main reasons we offer individually sealed slices. To keep our packaging as green as possible we insist on vegetable based inks, "eco" board and biodegradable plastic film. For more information:
please hop onto www.honeybuns.co.uk/beegreen.

Team Honeybuns are off their trainers again for the Sturminster Half Marathon on Sunday 3rd August. We're having a break from fundraising this time - there's a limit to how often we can ask friends for their spare change! Instead, Honeybuns are sponsoring this cracking race. It's a simple deal - run the 13 miles and you will be presented with a goody bag and Honeybuns cake - it's a sooopa doopa deal.

Animal Magic

Whilst some of us were away at Glastonbury the rest of the office team befriended a stray racing pigeon. He loved the bits of flapjack that were popped in front of him. Graham, one of our packing team, does a lot of bird surveys for
the RSPB. Graham has counted a monthly average of 23 bird species here at Naish Farm. We've seen coaltits, bullfinches and a greater spotted woodpecker to name but a few. Many of us are now developing into keen amateur "twitchers" and we now keep a wildlife log.
