The Bee Newsletter. News from Honeybuns Bakery. Number 15. Winter 2009.
TheHoneybunsTasting Roadshow is back.

All dressed up ready to sample - picture of samples.

Honeybuns are back on the road with the gorgeous Graham from the bakery visiting retailers in the South West and London from January through to the Sprrrring. Graham is a fully fledged Honeybuns baker so his product knowledge is second to none. He is fully trained in dealing with the Great British Public so if you are a retailer in the South West or London please give us a call and we will see if Graham can visit you and provide an instore tasting for you. Customers love being able to sample the range and chat to somebody who actually makes the cakes. Everyone's a winner!

If your business is located up country please do call and we can happily send you a lovely in store DIY tasting pack with sampling stock and point of sale materials. Please do remember that our supa dupa
retro tins are free to existing retail customers to use as point of sale displays. Please call us and we'll be happy to help.

COMING SOON...
Cookies in faaaabulous flavours We're busying away in the Bee Shack Development Kitchen on our brand new range of cookies. We love a challenge so rather than just the same-old same-old cookie we're pushing the boundaries again.... These precious little beauties will be free of added sugar and gluten. They will taste heavenly and naughty but won't give you that sky sugar high rush 'n' dump.
The flavours are: Triple Chocolate Tinkers, Cranberry, Pecan and Orange, and our very own Dorset Apple Cake Cookies made with Somerset Cider Brandy (well it's still the West Country), plumptious raisins and.... apples! We're officially launching them at Caffee Culture in May but we'll quietly unleash them onto the market before then. If you'd like samples to nibble please call us. You may have to wait a bit but as soon as we're happy with them we'll gladly send our customers a couple.

Ubberly gorgeous Cookies with a digger-bucket of builders tea.

All the other things we do beside cake

BeeGreen. Joaney - head of our pasture managment team.

Graham is multitalented. As well as doing our roadshow tastings and baking cakes he is also an expert bird watcher...of the feathered kind. Graham has volunteered for the RSPB and he now conducts monthly bird surveys here at Naish Farm. We have lots of feeders around the farm buildings which we fill with reject nuts from the bakery. We think the all day birdy buffet has helped to attract lots more feathered visitors. Graham spots on average 24 species a month! We manage the 5 glorious acres around our bakery as a nature reserve. Head of our pasture management plan is Joaney. She and her pals, Tash and Meg, ensure that the sward or grass tufts are kept short and perky.

Animal Magic
Molly is our newly acquired "Mad as a March hare" Mare. We love her dearly but boy is she a head case! Em is gently reschooling her in an attempt to get to the bottom of her psychological issues. Our theory is that she has been worked at quite an intense pace - probably jumping and this has messed with her head somewhat.
With lots of cuddles, gentle hacks out in to the countryside and a bit of schooling, she is coming on really well. She no longer trembles when you put her saddle on and the spring is MOST definitely back in her hooves. We'll keep you posted. Molly is staying just down the road at the moment. When she comes back to Naish Farm you'll be able to watch her on the improved Joaney Cam, www.honeybuns.co.uk/joaneycam
