Busy Bees Tuesday
Hello to everybody. It’s exceedingly dark & murky this morning so I think I’m going to reschedule my morning run. Usually, I go out after writing my blog & run round the block .It can get a bit lonely on my own so I run with Honey who is a really good guard & companion. I’ll pop a photo of 2her perfect gingerness’ on here again soon. The lanes are quite treacherous though, with speeding cars on bends so I’ll wait til it gets a bit brighter today.Does anybody know of a place where I could buy Honeybunch a fluorescent running mac from please?
After the run, I muck the horses, ponies & donkey out, give them their breakfast & re shuffle them according to who is going out staying & who is staying in the barn. It all depends on the weather really. It’s then to work. We’re going to be a bit pushed to get everything done today but that’s all the fun of the fair. We’ve got a visitor coming to chat to us about possible export to Asia including China which is very exciting. We’ll give him a tour around of the bakery but we’ve also started on building works to extend the bakery so he’ll be stepping over wires & dust sheets a bit-not ideal ,but we’ll need to explain it’s a work in progress! We’ve got lots more top up training to get on with with the team once the visitor has gone. All the HACCP stuff I mentioned last week is nearly completed which is great. To be honest it is quite boring to do, so once done we can get back to the fun stuff of research & development & chatting to our customers on the phone. The rest of the day is shoe- horned with meetings – for a small company I think we meet quite regularly. Aside from discussing every aspect of the business openly it also means we all just get to see each other & have a chat.
I just received some feedback from Mary who kindly took our cakes over to an exhibition in Ireland on our behalf. She said the response was cer-azzzzeeee fantastic & people were really keen to get hold of it. Timing wise this is kind of good, as we’ve just started working with a new Irish wholesaler who are SUPA DOOPA professional & on the ball.
Tonight I’m going to Charlotte’s for a surprise???! It’s my Birthday on Thursday so I guess it’s linked to that. Matt & I are going to London to meet our very dear pals Mal & Rak this weekend for Rak’s Bday (our B days are a day apart). Rak was pivotal in getting Honeybuns up & together in the early days. She is one of the most utterly gorgeous people, in every sense, that I’ve ever been lucky enough to meet. I also need to crack on & sort her a really nice pressie. I think I’ll have to do this on line.
I thinks it’s end of the piffle line for now- wishing you all a supa day, Love Em x
