Birthday busy tastic Thursday!

Hello, no photo this morning. I’ll sort one out later. Matt has very kindly fitted me up with a computer downstairs to do my blogs. I now have my own blog station but I’m not quite sure how to get to al my folders & stuff yet. It is sooo horrible outside this morning. Definitely too dark & dangerous to go running. I’m going to get all my Scott of Antarctica gear on to go and do the animals too. They will all be quite eager for their breakfasts. Whenever the weather turns, their apetites go through the roof. The farrier, Mr Bailey came to shoe Sammy last night so that’s one less thing to worry about. All their rugs got sent for wash, repair & reproofing & I should be getting them back tomorrow so I can rug the older boys up.
It’s my Birthday today & I’m curiously not excited at all-is this a symptom of getting older? (34 today, yikes).
Matt gave me an ingenious sat nav thing for the H’Buns truck called Tom Tom. I used to have MATT MATT which was very good but could sometimes be a bit cranky on longer drives into the Welsh countryside, at night, with no rations-
So that is all exciting. It’s well known that if I do not have char char or matt matt in the car that I’ll get lost for at lest an hour each way on business journeys so this should improve Honeybun’s efficency no end!
Thursday should see more of the same in our little buzzing office: more of this driz-a-bone HACCP work, dull but absoltely necessary. Thank goodness that we’re working with an independent consultant on this, otherwise I think I would have meandered off target quite a long time ago. Melissa was at Thonford with Screenbites last night so we’ll hear all about how she got on. Trish is in today which is always lovely. She is so bright & mischievous so we’re sure to find stuff to chuckle about today.
We’re meeting a lady, Benita, at 10 am this morning about our export opportunities in Japan which is really exciting. I’d kind of forgotten about that, so I’d better make some notes. We’re looking for a wholesaler in the UK who exports over there and/or a Japan based equivalent who imports from the UK. That’s in the ultra slim chance hope that anyone reading this knows anyone!?
As always we are all buzzing with ideas and very often we simply have to rein all the energy back in & tackle one thing at a time. Ever so sensible but necessary (this is me getting older- 34 yo must be my sensible head benchmark year- what a shame-
The highlight of my day will be working by e-mail with uber talented Sara our graphic design lady . We’re working on new loyalty cards for the Bee Shack Cafe & all new cakeboards. The outside designs are staying the same but we’re printing all sorts of funksome stuff on the insides with photos of the animals on to cheer everyone up!

Hoping everyone has a splendid & wonderous day,

Em x
