Happy New Year from Honeybuns

Hello to everyone & wishing you all a lovely, fun filled 2007.
Matt & I arrived back from a very rustic mini holiday in the Gers region of France last night. There is no broadband (or internet at all) in the French farmhouse, hence no blogules til today.
In brief, we cooked a lot of curries whilst we were there to keep warm & to keep us fuelled up for our running trips into the French country side.
There was a gentle rythm to our days from getting up (well past midday-blissful) ,running for 5 miles up and down dale & drinking Ricard in front of the fire to warm ourselves up afterwards. The fact that we needed warming up after our run was due to it being very chilly and, just possibly, us not running terribly fast! Still, it’s fantastic to be able to go running again & it has helped blow the winter blues cobwebs out of my hair.
Afternoons spent reading, pottering & then preparing something hearty for supper completed a very nice few days.We saw some fantastic wildlife too including a beautiful Barn Owl & lots of deer.
Next time we’ll sort Honey out with a passport & take her with us. She would have been great company out on the runs & she might even have made friends with the English family’s labradors down the end of the lane-
Our dogs went potty when we got back & have been spoilt rotten with the French leftovers from our picnic lunches. They’ve had the scrag ends of the liver pate, a little bit of very ripe camembert & some bayonne ham.
Workwise, Melissa is working hard on new sales leads & a lot of quotes for new potential contracts have already been sent off today & yesterday.Fingers crossed that at least some of these come to fruition.Trish will be in tomorrow which is always fun. Matt, Trish & I are off to Dublin in February to meet up with our new cutomer. We’ll possibly be able to fit in a couple of crafty Guinesses at the same time! Charlotte & Gay are working away on yet more team training & Matt is working on organising Japan-quite a lot on at the moment but it is greaaaat to be back & into the swing of things again.
Really hope you all have a lovely strat to a great year,
Em x
