Gluten Free treats
Hello,
What a lovely weekend of sunny weather! The Bee Shack went with a swing & we were fully booked for lunch. People were rubbing full tummys as they left so that has to be a good sign. It was positively Spring like on Sunday. We did not quite manage full on cross country running but did go for a lovley stomp up through Upcerne with the dogs.It was uplifting & February-blues-blasting!
Workwise it has been a jam packed Monday. We got an early morning call from BBC Radio Solent who wanted to interview me there and then on ethical food production. This was out of the blue but quite timely as we have been writing a ‘sourcing policy’ to pop onto our website. We feel that food issues are often presented in a sensationalist way & are often way over simplified. We’ve enjoyed debating & clarifying our own position on such issues as :
organic
food miles
local sourcing etc. This new sourcing policy will soon appear on our website. Any comments/feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Anyway, having a chat live on the radio whist drinking my coffee & munching Green & Blacks dark cherry chocolate felt like the most natural thing in the world!
Charlotte has been busy working away on the Bee Hop. She is this year looking after the stall holders & the catering whilst I’m focusing on the bands & sponsorship. It appears to be a good division of labour & we’ve already got a lot of stuff sorted out. It kind of feels much more undercontrol as we get more practiced at it all!
Sara is working away on designing this year’s Bee Hop promo material. We’re keeping our original Butterfly boy Bee Hop logo but will be having some retro fun with the design of the Vip tickets & flyers.
Animals are all fine. Honey cut her paw slighty on a piece of flint on Sunday but all seems healed & well today. She is zonked out after 2 mammoth walks & has not yet properly got out of bed.
Hope you all have a lovley week,
Em x
