Busy Bees
Halloo,
I’m just poised on the precipce of an afternoon slumpoid..!I’ve just been given a hunk of our dark chocolate & orange brownie to try from Charlotte. We’re trialling some new strips of natural, chewy orange zest- yummylicious! This should sort the afternoon out from here on in! I just need a big fat mug of tea & all will be right–.until I then feel guilty & have to push myself out of the front door for a run. I’ve had a lovely day catching up on old office jobs- lots of fiddly bits of copy to get written for adverts & giveaways- we’re still working hard on promoting our brand new savoury The Bumbleo. Our local post office at Alweston is a foody haven.Sally & Nick are real aficionados of local food & they tested the BumbleO last night for their tea.The verdict is -they LOVED it which is a relief-they’ll start stocking it soon & should then be waggons roll!
Sales are buzzing this week & next & we have got a new chain of garden centres due to start ordering in July plus some work with Sainsburys lined up in September. Our new bakers are settling in well & the place is a hive of activity which is lovely to see! Things are calm & controlled in the office today, we’ve all got our heads down working on our own projects. The Bee Hop festival is getting just that little bit close & I just need to keep peddling away on the promo for that. We’ve got the support of our local newspapers & magazines so hopefully we’ll have a fair few visitors this year.
I’m just going to draw up a tasting club inviting some of our star customers to taste our cakes every month- it’s a tough job to do but I must delegate it or I’ll be up for liposuction!
See you soon,
Em x
