Balmy August Evenings – at last!

Halloo everyone,
We’ve had Matt’s little sister Grace with us this week for work experience & she has been a God send. She has singlehandedly got our Bee shack Cafe ship shape again post the Bee Hop mayhem. Everything is sparklingly clean again & pretty & ready for our Bee Shack day tomorrow. Grace is going to be helping Lisa to serve the lunches etc tomorrow too.Lisa is in charge of Bee Shack days with all the behind the scenes pre organisation done by Charlotte.
If you are in the area please do pop by. It’s the only time we open to the public- The first Saturday of each month plus an event in October which is part of Dorset Food Week.
We’ve had some lovley news on one of our products winning a triple Three Gold Star Award at this year’s National Great Taste Awards- it was our lovely amondi cookie that seemed to wow the judges which is really encouraging.
We’re also hugely excited about the redesigning & improving of our packaging. We’ve changed our designs quite a bit as we are always coming up with tweaks to recipes & extra environmental & Honeybuns news snippets that we want to include. However, we’ve now taken a step back & realised that things are just a little bit too higgeldy piggeldy branding wise. Soooo we’re in the midst of a summertime brand polishing session which should result
in some stunning finished packaging in readiness for this Autumn.Everything that Sara has designed so far as part of this polishing up looks a lot more streamlined & less busy.
On the Half Marathon side of things, I did manage to get a really morale boosting 9 miler in on Wednesday evening which hopefully bodes well for this Sunday, fingers crossed. I’m really looking forward to seeing our friends who are coming up from Guildford to run with us- I’m sure we’ll then have some kind of celebratory slap up supper & a few ales no doubt afterwards!!!
Wishing everyone who reads this a really lovley sundrenched summer’s weekend.
Em xx
