Tea last night
Hallo,
We’ve got a gorgeous day here in Dorset this morning. We had a really hard frost & now the sun is beaming down from a coblat blue sky- simply stunning.
Last night I got around to roasting the aubergines with a little cumin, olive oil & sea salt- I then mashed them up & spread the succulent messy mix over crackers with soft goats cheese & caramilsed onion relish- it’s a lovely in front of the telly supper or as was the case last night- propped up all snuggly in bed reading -‘Screw it Just do it’ a business tome by Richard Branson.
This week has rollicked along & we’ve cracked on with getting stuff done for Dorset Food Weeks – we’re holding a tasting evening, quiz (with uber-liscious prizes) & bakery tour next Thursday evening. Our Rosie & Cath are going to be the quiz mistresses & we’re hoping the weather will be fine- I have plans of lighting the way up to the Bee Shack Cafe path with paper bags filled with tea lights-.not so cool if it’s piddling with rain so I’m keeping my fingers croosed that this glorious atumnal sunshine might just last.
If anyone fancies coming along on Thursday- there are just 6 places left- it costs not a bean- we’re just doing it for fun. If you do not win a prize you’ll still go home with mini goody bag!
Have a lovely weekend,
Em xx
