Puppy Training
Hallo,
sorry for the rather thin on the ground blogules at the moment. We seem to have our hands quite full at the moment with a fast moving Honeybuns. The launch of our MINIs rnge, the Sainsburys push as well as our work on the imminent mail order launch (September) has kept us very busy.
I find we’re quite often in a catch 22 with regards to spending time out of the office meeting with buyers – this is necessary to get out & meet people but it also pops me into a little bit of a flat spin on returning to the offie- there is a mountain of stuff that lies there looking menacingly at me! It reminds me very much of the Philip Larkin poem likening work to a big, immovable toad-I’ll have to re read it.Larkin hit somany everyay life dilemas right on the head methinks- Matt & I are very keen not to let work take over everything so this week has been a mixture of playing catch up & wedging in bits of fun too.Running is what we both love to do so it has been a major bummer to have injured my calf-with now just a week to go before the half marathon..Physio has been enormously helpful but time consuming-getting to the clinic then heading off to the gym & pool to try & keep aerobic fitness up. What is normally a joy- the running- has turned into a part time job just to keep me moblile. Musn’t grumble, I realise fully that I’m flipping lucky to be physically active & I’m determined to make the most of it.Well, unil I wear my joints out or something!
All this has sadly meant that I had to cancel our weekly puppy training with Ollie this week- things were too hectic. I reckon the other puppy owners would have been relieved not to have to contend with Daminan the devil dog for one session.
To make it up to Ollie, we’re going to a local beauty spot to run around like loons & to introduce him to a pebble bedded stream which I’m sure he’ll be straight into with no messing. He is naughty at times but really, an absolute joy & we’e over the moon to have found him.The animals are the best stress reliever on the planet.
On this note, I’ll wish everyone a lovely wekend. I’m off to do the equines- sort their beds out & check rugs & so on. The rest of the weekend is going to be -making the most of the dogs, swimming, sorting the house, H’buns odds & ends & cooking a lovley tea!!
Em xx
