Six Nation State

Hallo!
What grim, grim weather-on the plus side we’ve just discovered www.lovefilm.co.uk. Fabuuulous for catching up with films you’ve missed- or in my rather sadtastic case- catching up again with Miss Marple (Joan Hickson era only), Bergerac & -.Magnum PI! Fantastic.
It’s just the pants weather for snuggling up to watch all those guilty 1980s secret telly faves.
The Festival of Bryan was on Saturday- Jim- Charcoal Jim- Bettles- did a grand job & the event was an aural treat. Six Nation State were like- totally ammmazing ( Somerset accent). Met lots of buddies from Hazelbury Bryan- and didn’t mind the rain a bit.
Animalswise- Ollie is making great use of his 3 good legs & the signs are all good that he is healing correctly. Water physio beckons & I’ll get my water wings sorted out. We’ll head for the algae enriched lake as soon as our wonder vet gives the go ahead.
We have a new addition to our pack- Benjamin. Another little rescue with very beseeching eyes from Somerset & Dorset Animal Rescue. He’s a border collie cross sth very fast- perhaps whippet & a touch of staffy too.
The more exercise he gets (approx 20 miles of running a week) the bouncier he becomes. All good fun though.
We’re very much hoping that Benjamin will be featuring on the James Wellbeloved range of dog foods- they support the rescue centre by paying for photos of rescue dogs that are rehomed. The money goes to the rescue place & we get a thrill seeing Benjamin’s photo on a big bag of chicken & rice biscuity things- how exciterous-everyone’s a winner.
Worky wise- we’ve just had back our beautiful new point of sale boards back from the printers. They’re available to our retail customers to display alongside our cakes. They truly are stunning. All beautiful photography courtesy of Sara. We’ve just done another little mini photo shoot this morning in the Bee Shack. The light is wonderful in there & we’ve taken some cracking shots of our new packaging & the wunderbar mail order enamel tins. Everything looked so pretty. Can’t wait til our new website goes live- it’s being launched in September-eeeeek – still quite a bit of detail to sort out before then. It’ll be so much easier to navigate than the current one whilst still retaining lots of quirkiwer information on Joaney the domkey etc.
We’ll be away on a walking hol along the very wet Dorset coast from Friday to Tuesday. Wishing everyone a superb week. Will catch up on our return.
