Hallo,
I hope everyone is managing to keep relatively warm & toasty. It has been majorly snowy here in Dorsety and we’ve been drinking vats of hot chocolate & builders tea to keep warm.Charlotte, our bakery manager, has been working away (and keeping warm) in our Bee shack kitchen on the final touches of our new range-. Our brand new mini collection of three wonderful cookies is tantalisingly close to readiness-.Char has had to work particularly hard on the texture. We were after 2 quite chewy yet moist cookies plus one buttery shortbread one. We’re just about there & they taste sensational.Last Friday I met with a friend and very loyal client in Notting Hill.We visited lots of gorgeous boutique bakeries including Gail’s, Ottolenghis & another one- whose name escapes me-.my goodness they were good! It’s so nice to find cookies, cakes, amarettis & Bundt cakes that are innovative & truly hand crafted. We ate at Ottolenghis for lunch & Sue then taste tested our cookies- we fared very well. We love all 3 but we’re especially proud of our honey, almond & salted pistachio number- totally free of refined sugar & gluten free too. We’ve sourced the honey from just down the road -it’s beaaaautiful. We’re just finalsing the packaging for this range & then it’ll be off to the buyers with them to see who would like to stock them.
Asides from baking & worky things we’ve also been enjoying the snow & watching the dogs loon around in it.I’ll pop some pics up in a sec.
Wishing everyone a fab week,
