New on Line Shop
Hallo,
please do keep eyes open for our all new online shop- well not totally new -but vastly improved.Soon you’ll be able to buy all of your fave Honeybuns lines directly from us plus lipbalms, bags & other little treats.Barry, one of our bakers has drawn a lot of the pics for the shop page as well as redesigning the Coppice Cake packaging. Look out for Barry’s little red squirrel.
The office seems very quiet today. VB is currently raving on a beach in Spain, Charlotte is working on new products in the bakery, Jackie is frenetic with sending cookie samples out so it’s just Matt & I manning the nervous centre & drinking buckets of tea.
Thatching started today on the Honeybuns Farmhouse roof- pics will follow once I find the camera. It’ll be great to create a photo diary of it. Marcus, the thatcher ( & Charlotte’s husband) reckons that some of the ears of corn he finds may well be truly ancient. If so, we’ll be sending them to the Heritage Seed collecting Bank- they then analyse, date & do other clever things with them- all about preserving ancient flora apparently.
On Saturday our gorgeous Graham was up in Derby at the Coeliac UK’s annual conference. He had a great time sampling products & chatting to customers. I think people are genuinely surprised to meet the people who truly do make the cakes- they are also amazed at how tiny a company we actually are- just 20 of us in total & everything done by hand.Mind you, we are fuelled by the most exquisite cakes around.
This week is going to be about sending cookie samples out- we had quite a backlog of enquiries & now we’re properly catching up. We’ll also be welcoming Rebecca as a placement student to our team. Becs joins us next Monday. She’ll be updating the website & helping us ‘get down wiv da yoof’- ie making sure Twitter/bloggy etc are all care for.
Pls see random beautiful pics- do pop into the Bee Shack for a look round & cup of tea- next Bee Shack Saturday is August 1st.
Lots of love,
Em xx
