Honeybuns Happy New Year
Hallo & a very happy New Year from us all at Honeybuns.
We’re feeling quite windswept this morning- flowerpots have now been safely lashed down & the office hatches are battened. Christmas was a well deserved break for many of the team – we finished off the year with our annual team prize giving. We have the annual top prize – the silver Kindness Cup – this year won by Sally who works on customer care in the office. Sally is kindness personified – she truly cares about each customer & cares about us too.
Our Positive Feedback award was one by Dan – this is our system of feeding any comments from all areas of the business back – in order to improve our ways of doing things – this could be a loop hole spotted in paperwork or an inefficient way of packing something. Dan has a great eye for detail & is solutions focused.
As always, if there is anything you’d like us to improve on please do drop us a line at th****@ho*******.uk
Finally, the glittering prize (well a bottle of Cava & some posh chocolates) for the most willing cake taster was fairly won by Graham. Especially whilst we were working on the first Honeybuns baking book this summer – there were plenty of new recipes to try & Graham was always happy to oblige. It’s funny how jaded we can all become about having to eat yet more samples-.. being surrounded all the time – Graham always remains enthusiastic. The only possible issue is that he loves everything he tries- is he impartial enough?
If you would like to become a Honeybuns taster we’ll be introducing a scheme in March – asking for willing volunteers-. more news to follow.
Gluten free scones are on the menu in every sense of the word. We still need them to be a teensy bit fluffier – we’re so close but there needs to be a few more testing sessions in the Bee Shack kitchen first – which I love as it’s a great opportunity to review & taste other products & decide if we need to improve on anything. We can also test out more of the very exciting new gluten free ingredients coming onto the market.

We’ll be launching the scones in March so we need to crack on & get them spot on. Our packaging is also being gently tweaked. More animal stories, more product info & more news on conservation here at Naish Farm.
Our Tinker Tuesdays kick off again starting from today. Each week this month we’ll also be giving away a Mrs Simkins cookery book as well as our scrumptious Honeybuns cakes – what’s not to love-
Don’t forget to check out our new YouTube channel too – it’s a bit lame at the mo – I just need to trot on & get some videos popped on there – we thought us explaining our fave Honeybuns gluten free cake & why might be a good one-.? Any thoughts please do get in touch. www.youtube.com/HoneybunsBakery
Speaking of our beloved Bee Shack Cafe – we’re now in hibernation til we reopen in March. We can highly recommend the Hive at Burton Bradstock – they don’t stock HBuns but we won’t hold that against them. They do gorgeous seafood plus great cakes & drinks. Olivers in Sherborne is just fab too – again great home-made cakes and brilliant people watching potential-
