2g Peppercorns
250g Granulated Sugar
125ml Cider Vinegar
250g Dried Cranberries
Equipment needed
Large saucepan

Method
Firstly, place all of the ingredients except the cranberries in a large, heavy-based saucepan, then gently heat, stirring well until all of the sugar dissolves.
Bring the mixture to the boil, and then reduce the heat and simmer, uncovered, for about 50 minutes. While stirring regularly, until the apples and onions are tender, and the mixture has thickened and no watery juice remains.
Next, add the cranberries and cook for a further 10 minutes.
Finally, spoon the hot chutney into sterilised jars and seal.
