Learn to make delicious gluten free fruit crumble. Quick and easy!
Welcome to the written recipe for our super simple gluten free, vegan and dairy free fruit crumble. This is yet another of our Honeybuns one bowl wonders! It makes a gorgeous cheat’s pudding and whilst we were making the video we kept on munching through it, always a good sign of a winning recipe.
You need to get hold of our gluten and dairy free and vegan Oaty Raspberry Bars. To serve two people you’ll need 3x Oaty Raspberry Bar cake slices. When you head to our online shop you’ll see you can buy as little as one cake but to take advantage of free postage it makes sends to top up the order and you can then pop spares in the freezer. A lot of our customers do this.
As always, I’ve made the recipe and method as stripped back and simple as possible. I’ve also included swapsie ingredient ideas in brackets ( ). This recipe will serve 2 people and takes just a few minutes to put together. You’ll notice the sugar in the ingredients list is marked as optional. I didn’t feel the need to add any but just taste the fruit mixture and decide if you want it sweeter. Personally, I loved the contrast of the tart fruit base with the sweeter crumble topping.
I discovered that this was gorgeous eaten as a hot pudding. We devoured it with the excellent chocolate vegan ice cream from Judes but oh-my-gosh-.it tasted AMAZING for breakfast too! I’d put some leftovers in the fridge overnight and by morning the crumbled oat bars had absorbed the fruit juices and morphed into more of a Bircher-muesli entity. Dee-flipping-licious.

What ingredients do I need to make easy Gluten free and Vegan Crumble?
3x slices Honeybuns Oaty Raspberry Bars
250g fresh or frozen fruit. If using frozen then have them slightly defrosted. Try any of the following:chopped apricots/peaches/nectarines, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackcurrants…
12x fresh mint leaves, torn or chopped
Zest of 1 lemon
Slug of Pimms
1 tbsp sugar or honey (optional)
What kit will I need?
A small oven proof dish. I used a little Le Creuset one measuring 12cm x 19cm x 5cm deep
How to make your super easy gluten free and vegan crumble
Here’s my method:
Preheat your oven to 180°C / Gas 4.
Place all the ingredients, except the vegan Oaty Raspberry Bars in the mixing bowl.
With a fork gently crush the fruit. This roughs up the surface of the fruit and allows the Pimms and mint flavours to soak in properly. You don’t want to mash them, just lightly crush.
Stir the ingredients so they’re all combined.
Place this mix in your over proof dish.
Crumble up your vegan Oaty Raspberry Bars and sprinkle over the top.
Pop in the oven for 12-15 mins or until you can see the fruit bubbling away and the crumbled topping has turned a golden brown colour.
Devour hot or cold.
You can stir a spoonful of jam into the fruit mix rather than sugar for a little more sweetness.
There is a lovely Pimms jam that I saw in Sainsburys the other day. I need to try it out in this recipe.
