Cornbread In The Round Recipe

This easy to make recipe is for our straight unadulterated gluten free cornbread mix baked in a round.

Pre-heat your oven to 180°C / 350°F / Gas 4

Melt 200g/7oz butter. Pour into mix. Whisk (electric or hand) until a smooth batter is formed. Spoon the mixture into a 20cm buttered sandwich tin. Bake for 16-18 mins or until the top springs back when touched. Allow to cool before turning out of tin. Use palette knife to
loosen cornbread & tip onto a cooling rack.

You can cover it with an optional topping of a handful of good strong grated cheddar and fresh snipped thyme. Delicious served straight from the oven with soup.
