Do you like the idea of working at a small, independent family business and being part of a happy and motivated team where everyone is valued?

We’re growing our team and currently looking forward to welcoming a new member to our friendly production team.

Looking to start or further a career in baking? In this role, you will be based in our bakery in Holwell, Dorset, where you’ll follow recipes to create our award winning cakes and traybakes. We are all about artisan methods – baking low and slow and in small batches.

  • The ideal candidate will be a supportive team player who takes responsibility for their work, has good communication skills, can learn quickly, accurately follow instructions, maintain high standards, and be flexible with working hours. Excellent time management, reliability and a conscientious, positive and friendly attitude are also essential.
  • Knowledge of food hygiene and health and safety practices would be a bonus, although not essential as training can be provided.
  • The role requires the ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including standing for the duration of the shift, performing repetitive tasks and occasionally lifting up to 25kg.
  • While this position is primarily based in the bakery, the successful candidate will also receive training in packing duties and should be willing to work across both sections as needed.
  • This is a permanent, full-time position with working hours from 7am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, and one Saturday per month (two Saturdays in months with five weeks). A weekday off is provided in weeks when a Saturday shift is scheduled.
  • Due to our rural location (DT9 5LJ), having your own vehicle is recommended as public transport is not available. On-site parking is provided.
  • Please be aware that due to the nature of the business, piercings and false nails are not permitted and must be removed before starting work.
