Ikea Expedition

Hello,
Charlotte (bakery manager), John (Vicar) & I are going to Ikea shortly. Reall looking forward to this. We go 3-4 times a year to raid the shelves for bits & bobs for our bakery, Bee Shack etc. We’ll also be buying vanilla scented candles to counteract the pong from Diesel (hairy alsation) who lives by desk in our shared office.
The smell was not too bad until we turned the fire on in October-.Keeping Desey clean is very tricky. He is long haired & just LOVES messing about in puddles, stagnant water, anything. Our three dogs spend their time every day:
1. By the Aga
2. Waiting fof food/cuddles
3. Playing in muddy/stagnant water.
& in Diesy’s case he insists on coming into the office. We give in because he is a rescue case 9basket case) & gets really distressed if he can’t see me.
We’ve found a brilliant cleaning lady & I’m really hopeful that she works out for us in the long term. The bakery was sparkly clean last night. Melissa was busy repainting it last night too & it really looks lovely.
Matt & I went out for a drink last night (bad-we’re really trying to cut down),but we did have good discussions about planning our new bakery which we think will be great for all of us. We’re keen to use as many eco aware methods as possible-.maybe even a turf roof!
It’ll be ace for our team too. Although our bakery is cute & barn like, we do make life difficult for ourselves in terms of wonky walls, split levels etc. The original bakery will be then used for training small team groups & working on new product development.
Speaking of training, I was soooooo impressed by how much our first training group knew yesterday about hygiene, cross contamination & food incident procedures etc. This group was made up of new team members & they were really on the ball & scored really highly in the lengthy quiz we gave them. I was chuffed to bits.
Better get a move on, I need to do animals, get bath, programme TOM TOM (so chuffed with it) & go collect John,
