Magic Bee Hop Bee Hop Bee Hop Magic

Hello,

Well, we were kind of hoping to be up in sunny Grimsby, then to Manchester & Newcastle this weekend but a combo of heavy snowfall & my persistent germs have laid the bestest of plans to rest. It is a good thing in a way, because I’ve felt obliged to make the best use of this ‘bonus’ office time. Matt has been kindly helping me out on sorting more updates & tweaks to our website. We work with an excellent photographer, Jonathon Bosley, & we have loads of his images which we are gradually popping onto the relevant website pages. The website is a labour of love. I’m not sure that if we had any shareholders, they would endorse the amount of time we spend making it ‘look pretty & welcoming’! It is not really commercially astute but we love taking photos of the animals & farm & sharing them with anyone else who can see they are utterly beautiful.
This morning, Charlotte, Matt & I managed to have one of our Friday ‘coffeee mornings’ as recommended by a business guru friend of ours. It means we get -.a cup of coffee & a chance to sit down in the house away from the regular hub -a- dub- dub of ringing phones etc & we can actually figure out what we intend to do business wise & why.We set our weekly priorities & also look a little into the future to figure out the course we intend to set.
This morning’s session was particulary energizing. We figured out the launch of our new baby trays ( cake mini trays in very cute packaging) as well as lots of social- team building things for the rest of the year.We now have 2 social secretaries. One from the bakery & one from the packing team. We realised that the one thing we like doing a lot as a team & individually is having parties ,so the social calender is very much ‘up there’ as a TOP business priority.
Speaking of parties, The Bee Hop is occupying a lot of Sim Card space at the mo & the next theraputic bunting sewing sesh is scheduled for a week next Wed.Charlotte & I will nudge the vintage sewing machine into action & get cracking.
The next fortnight is going to be a little hectic. I need to go to Cheltenham, Bath & Dublin & although I love getting out there I also feel that I neglect the canines & equines a bit. They are well looked after but I cannot top up their cuddle quota. So, with a busy fortnight ahead, I’m going to prioritise the animals this weekend & go for another glorious stomp in the countryside with Honey & Diesel come rain or shine!
Wishing you a wickedly lush weekend,
Em x
