Black art of marketing
Hallo everyone,
Well, after fretting about taking time off over le weekend- Matt & I had such a lovely time in Canterbury with our friends- Andrew, Geoff & Mieke.I think we really needed to get away & wash work right out of our hair, so to speak!
We pootled about down by the sea at St Margarets & had a really nice Franco- Anglo style lunch at the acclaimed Coastguard pub.Geoff then took us along to retrace some of his family roots. It was lush just to hear the sea lapping on the rocks whilst we sat outside for lunch- we could have been in the med, especially re the plate of marniated seafood I lucked out on! Thanks Andrew- you were the host with the mostest & we had a truly lovely time-.especially the Red Hot Chilli Peppers interlude in the first pub on Sat night!
Work has been a lot clamer today- well rephrasing that- I’ve been a lot clamer today. I’m the one who seems to get my knickers in a twist with just the slightest hint of pressure.I don’t like admitting it but I’m an overwrought nervous wreck- though aiming to get better. At the mo.we need to get a lot of flyers & press releases done & dusted for a lot of concurrently running events. I’ve managed to finally get some info over to our most understanding graphic designer, Sara. She must get to pulling her hair out waiting for me to get myself up & together- sorry dudetta!
We’re hosting a tasting evening as part of Dorset Food Weeks on Thursday, 25th October & the invitations look amazing, thanks to aforementioned Sara. They were sent out on Friday last week. Then we have an artist in residence, our very own & uber talented Rosie Emerson, showcasing her work in the Bee Shack Cafe on Saturday 3rd November. We’re currently just putting the finishing touches to the invites & they’ll go out this week. There are things I need to do flyerwise for our wholesalers too & we need some new point of sale items done too.I just need to keep focused & get everything done & sent to the printers on time- always a little bit scary.
This evening I’m really noticing the early, creeping inny darkness- it’s a bummer because I have to stop work earlier to go & much the equines on & pop their pyjamas on. For my birthday I think I’ll request a miner’s hat with a lamp on it- how very glam!
This week is a bit less all over the shop- I’ve got a joy filled health & safety seminar to go to tomorrow- lush.I’m then hoping to be able to try some new recipes out for our new kiddies range & our second savoury.Much better than elf & saftee,
Wishing you a superlicious week,
Em xx
