Growing Family
Hallo,
Well all the puppies are doing outrageously well.Honey has loads of milk & the little ones are growing at a terrifying rate-.they are going to big and bouncy bundles of delight. We’re bracing oursleves for when we have 10 of them running around the garden. We must take some film of them & pop it on tinternet.
Worky wise- we’re on a tight deadline to finalise the packaging of our new savouries- this is one of our major customers who needs the finished article for October- we’re on the case & the adrenalin is pumping.
Looking ahead already to next year we’re working on some super healthy high fruit content sponge cakes. They taste ammaaaazing & will hopefully keep the cake police at bay.We think that once the doom & gloom of the recession has lifted then attention will once again switch to really healthy options.
We’ve seen a dramatic rise in the sales of our chocolate based treats as diets have been thrown out of the window for the moment- but as a business, we need to be lo0king to the ‘ next thing’-..So we’re designing these little sponges to be gluten, dairy & refined sugar free. It sounds like they should taste like cardboard but they are in fact super lush & very moist.
We’re hesitant to state a proper grown up launch date as we always then seem to have to revise it-sometime in the New Year is a pretty safe utterance! If you are interested in road testing some of these cakeys- then please do get in touch on th****@ho*******.uk. We need your feedback- we’ll send you some cakes & would be extremey grateful for any feedback (we will select the first 10 replies).
We had a lovely Bee Shack day this weekend. We met a lady who is going to be knitting us some Bee Shack tea cosies amongst other things. Can’t wait to see them- one is going to look like our iconic fluffy pink Bee Shack parasol!!! Tres camp.
This week I’m going to Londonium to meet a work colleague- we’ll be popping into deli/coffee shop hot spots in the capital to see what’s going on.Then lunch at Roast on Borough Market & a bit more foodie truffle hunting.
The rest of the week will be
Midwife no 2 (Matt’s assistant)
proper hard slog. We’re in the middle of finishing off a guide to Honeybuns cakes- this will then go out to all of our trade customers- it’s been a long time coming but once done it will help coffee shop owners etc to care for our cakes with confidence.
Less chat more action (and cups of tea) I must crack on and get started.
Wishing everyone a lovely week,
Em x
