New Scones

Hallo,

Charlotte’s patience in the Bee Shack test kitchen has paid off & we’re now over the moon with our gluten free scones. They look like rustic little rock cakes & taste heavenly with or without lashings of jam & cream. We’re launching them at a trade show coming up in March & then they’ll be finding their way online & into independent cafes & delis soon after. The week beginning the 13th Feb we’ll be looking for willing tasters – we’ll be popping full details of how to apply & what’s involved in being in our ‘Honeybuns Nibble Club’ on Facebook that week. You basically get to taste test every 3 months & we do ask you to be really honest.

We were really chuffed to get a mention in the Daily Telegraph for our vintage Valentine cup & saucer sets. They really are a quirky & charming alternative to the trusted red rose option-

I do struggle a bit with Valentine’s Day- too many memories of being shoe horned into an over booked, under ventilated restaurant (pronounced in Eaveeee French accent) & feeling like a bit of a gullible lemon basically. Much better to be snuggled up at home with Benedict Cumberbatch-..on the Telly.

Speaking of the Scrumptious Mr Cumberbatch, we have series one & two of the utterly faaaabulous new Sherlock Holmes to giveaway. He’ll be in amongst the Tinker prizes in February. You may have noticed that we’re pimping up our Tinker Tuesday prizes- by linking up with other artisan minded companies. At the mo we’re working with English Eclectics www.english-eclectics.com In a nutshell -by entering our Tinker Tuesday competition you’ll now stand to win even more lovely treasure.

Animal wise here on the farm & nature reserve – our feathered friends keep thinking it’s Spring. We’re concerned that the current cold weather has caught them off guard- so we’ve beefed up the feeders accordingly. Our motley herd of rescue ponies & horses are plumptious- they have a 24/7 buffet of sweet meadow hay to fend off the cold & they’re all looking really well. Posh, Pecks & Elton- our fancy bantams are enjoying the scone trial rejects greatly. Our bantams look faaaabulous but are quite haughty. Next time I reckon we’ll go for some L plate big fat hens-

Wishing everyone a super snug weekend from us all here at Honeybuns,
