Delivery information and future despatch

IMPORTANT CHANGES TO OUR DESPATCH DAYS

Despatch is when the order leaves us, not the day it arrives.  

Orders are despatched on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday only. We no longer despatch orders on Monday or Tuesday. Therefore:

- Orders placed from Friday to Tuesday will be processed and despatched on Wednesday.

- Orders placed on Wednesday or Thursday will be processed and despatched the next working day. 

At the checkout, you will be able to schedule a despatch date on any working Wednesday, Thursday and Friday in the future. This helps preserve the shelf life of the cakes, which can be important for those with a shorter shelf life.

On the day of despatch, we take the cakes for your order from frozen stock. They are completely safe to refreeze on receipt for up to 3 months if you wish.  All our cakes are suitable for home freezing. The cakes are not individually date stamped but details on shelf life and refreezing are included with your order. You will be sent a Despatch Confirmation email on the day of despatch.

All orders will require a signature on receipt. If you will be out and would like your parcel left in a safe place or delivered to a neighbour, please leave details in the 'Order notes' section at the checkout. Alternatively, at the checkout you can select delivery to a different address.

UK mainland orders are shipped using a 1-2 day courier. DPD deliver on a week day from 7am to 7pm. Please note orders are not delivered on a Saturday, Sunday or Bank Holiday. We cannot guarantee particular delivery days. When booking the delivery with DPD, if the order is being despatched to yourself then we will use your email and mobile number in order that you can receive notification from DPD with the delivery information. You are then able to track your order, rearrange delivery or arrange collection from a local DPD pick up point - you can find information about this here.

If the order is a gift and going to another person/address, we will not use your email or telephone number for the DPD booking. 

UK offshore orders to the Isle of Wight, Channel Islands, Scottish Islands and Highlands, Isle of Man, channel Islands, Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland are sent via Royal Mail First Class Signed For service, which are usually delivered between 1 to 3 days. Deliveries to Scotland might take an extra day.

CHRISTMAS ORDERS AND DESPATCH
Our last day for despatch for UK orders is Friday 20 December 2019. Orders must be received by 12 noon on 20 December in order to be despatched. Any orders placed after 12 noon on 20 December will be despatched on 2 January 2020. 
Delivery to Europe: Last orders online is 15th December 2019

Delivery costs

For deliveries in the UK, the following delivery charges will apply (excluding the cost of gift wrapping if selected):

  • Orders under £25: £5 delivery charge
  • Orders over £25: free delivery 

For deliveries to Europe (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden): 

  • £17.95 delivery charge

We are not able to deliver outside the UK and Europe.

Customer delight is our aim. We offer a no quibble guarantee, so if you are not entirely happy with anything then please do contact us and we will arrange for your order to be returned, replaced or refunded.

Our cake packaging and how we package your order

Our cakes are supplied individually wrapped or in traybakes. The laminated printed card we use in the individually wrapped cakes is from a sustainable source printed using vegetable-based inks, laminated with a recyclable food grade laminate. The flow wrap film is food grade polypropylene film, recyclable by specialist recycling centres - we are looking to switch to a compostable film that can be frozen. Our search continues! The foil trays used for the traybakes is recyclable, food grade aluminium alloy.    

We want all our orders to arrive safely. We send all orders in Honeybuns branded postal bags or boxes. If you want to keep your gift a surprise then you are able to choose an alternative delivery address at the checkout, or if that's not suitable then please add a note when ordering that you would like your gift without any Honeybuns branding on the outer packaging.
We do not include invoices with any orders, and where possible our postal packaging is plastic free. We might sometimes reuse bubble wrap that has been sent to us in deliveries.

Our charming gift wrap will make any present that extra bit special; Honeybuns bespoke luxury red ribbon and eco kraft paper wrap, a gift tag, and we'll write your personal message in the charming gift card. And why not add one of our special gift stamps to the wrapping - you can add gift wrap and the gift stamp at the checkout.

Freezing, Shelf Life and Allergen information

On the day of despatch, we take the cakes for your order from frozen stock. They are completely safe to refreeze on receipt for up to 3 months if you wish. Further details on shelf life and refreezing are included with your order. All our cakes are suitable for home freezing.
