Despatch and delivery information

*Despatch is when the order leaves us, not the day it arrives.  

  • Our online shop continues to despatch gluten free and vegan treats directly to your door to enjoy at home or to delight loved ones. Please be assured that in addition to our extremely high standard of hygiene and cleanliness here at our online shop, we have put in place extra measures as a precautionary measure. 
  • We aim to process orders within 2 working days. If you have chosen a specific despatch date then your order will be despatched on your chosen date.
  • At the checkout, you also have the option to select a future despatch date.
  • On the day of despatch, we take the cakes for your order from frozen stock. They are completely safe to refreeze on receipt for up to 3 months if you wish.  All our cakes are suitable for home freezing. The cakes are not individually date stamped but details on shelf life and refreezing are included with your order. You will be sent a Despatch Confirmation email on the day of despatch. 
  • If you will be out and would like your parcel left in a safe place or delivered to a neighbour, please leave details in the 'Order notes' section at the checkout. Alternatively, at the checkout you can select delivery to a different address. 

Christmas Last Orders 

UK: 22 December 1pm. Orders placed after this time will be despatched week commencing 4 January 2021.
Europe: 15 December.
The online shop team will be on holiday from 24 December until 4 January 2021.   

UK Mainland orders

UK mainland orders are shipped using a 1-2 day courier. DPD deliver on week days from 7am to 7pm. Please note orders are NOT delivered on a Saturday, Sunday or Bank Holiday. We cannot guarantee particular delivery days. When booking the delivery with DPD, we will use your email in order that you can receive notification from DPD with the delivery information. You are then able to track your order, rearrange delivery or arrange collection from a local DPD pick up point - you can find information about this here

DPD will send a 1 hour time slot as soon as your parcel leaves their local depot, this is usually by 11.00am. DPD will no longer ask customers to sign their handheld units and instead their drivers will sign it on their behalf. They will take a photo of the parcel in your open doorway as proof that it has been delivered. If you're self isolating, please leave a signed note on your door, telling the driver where to put the parcel. Alternatively, you can add a safe place to leave the parcel in our 'Order Notes' section at the checkout or when you get the DPD delivery notification. 

If the order is a gift and going to another person/address, we will use your email for the DPD booking so you can see when they are due to deliver the parcel. 

We're sorry but we can not despatch to a PO Box address

UK Offshore orders

Orders to the Isle of Wight, Channel Islands, Scottish Islands and Highlands, Isle of Man, channel Islands, Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland are sent via Royal Mail First Class Signed For service, which are usually delivered between 1 to 3 days. Deliveries to Scotland might take an extra day.

We're sorry but we cannot despatch to a PO Box address

For deliveries in the UK, the following delivery charges will apply (excluding the cost of gift wrapping if selected):

  • Orders under £25: £5 delivery charge
  • Orders over £25: free delivery 

Delivery to Europe

For deliveries to Europe (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden): 

  • £17.95 delivery charge
  • Estimated delivery times: up to 10 working days 

We are not able to deliver outside the UK and Europe.

No Quibble Returns Guarantee

Customer delight is our aim. We offer a no quibble guarantee, so if you are not entirely happy with anything then please do contact us and we will arrange for your order to be returned, replaced or refunded.

Our cake packaging and how we package your order

eco packaging

Most of our cake packaging is recyclable; find out more about this here.     

Where possible our postal packaging is plastic free. We use kraft bubble wrap and send all orders in Honeybuns branded fully recyclable and biodegradable kraft mailing bags or boxes.

If you want to keep your gift a surprise then you are able to choose an alternative delivery address at the checkout, or if that's not suitable then please add a note when ordering that you would like your parcel sent without Honeybuns branding on the outer packaging.

We do not include invoices with any orders.

Gift wrap and gift message

Honeybuns presents charming gift wrap

You can include a gift message and one of our special gift stamps (shown right) at no extra charge at the checkout. 

Our beautiful gift wrap will make any present that extra bit special; with eco kraft paper, gift tag and card, and luxury red ribbon and tissue paper. Gift wrap can be added at the checkout for only £4.50.

Freezing, Shelf Life and Allergen information

On the day of despatch, we take the cakes for your order from frozen stock. They are completely safe to refreeze on receipt for up to 3 months if you wish. Further details on shelf life and refreezing are included with your order. All our cakes are suitable for home freezing.
