Round up of reasons to shop independently

– You will not only be supporting a small business – you will be helping a plethora of trades people and local suppliers. For example, at Honeybuns bakery we employ 25 local people and also use the services of over 30 other freelancers and small firms. From our graphic designer to our fridge engineers, your orders help sustain a wider business community.

– Hand made premium cakes take time to make. We bake low and slow in small batches. These methods are the antithesis of mass production. Hence you will not see our products in the supermarket aisle. We believe this makes our cakes even more special.

– Being an independent, family owned business means we, thankfully, do not need to answer to shareholders. We can support local charities, plant trees and provide a home for the Honeybuns herd rather than solely focus on the bottom line.

– Matt and I work in the office with our small, tightly knit team and witness, first hand, the care, love and attention that goes into each and every order that leaves Honeybuns HQ. Each one of us believes in and loves the brand.

There is still plenty of time to get your orders in – please just bear in mind that last orders are Tuesday, 12th April.

Comment and share what you thought of this! Be sure to share this delicious recipe with a friend too! Thanks for reading!
