Important Peanut Allergen Update
Honeybuns cakes and cookies – Important peanut allergen information
We will shortly be adding a new product, Peanut Blondie, to our Classic Range of cakes. This is an indulgent new treat which is baked with roasted peanuts, milk and white chocolate, and topped with salted caramel pieces.
We are therefore currently planning to introduce peanuts into our production areas. As with other allergens that we already handle, every care will be taken to ensure that contamination of peanut free products does not take place. Here at Honeybuns we operate to very strict allergen control procedures, full details of which we are happy to provide upon request.
However, peanuts will be still used on the same line as peanut free products and therefore we cannot guarantee that no contamination will occur.
Due to this, our advisory allergen statement going forward will be “may contain peanuts and other nuts”. This will come into effect for any products you receive from 01/11/17.
