What is special about Honeybuns cakes?
All of our traybakes are hand made by our Honeybuns bakery team here in very rural Dorset. True to our artisan beginnings, we continue to bake our gluten free cakes in small batches using only the very finest of ingredients. Our beautifully packaged tins and boxes of cakes sell all year round, with deliveries as far a field as the Isle of Skye all the way down to Penzance. Sustainability is front of mind here at Honeybuns, with all parcels packaged using FSC approved materials.
What new cakes have you got available online?
Come Christmas time, we add some seasonal treats to the range. Our jolly Mincemeat Crumble Slice is a firm customer favourite right now. We start with a polenta and almond shortbread base which is then layered with mincemeat filling and finished with a crumble topping. Everyone is amazed when we tell them it is also gluten, soy and dairy free. The mincemeat crumble is available via Waitrose and our online shop only – but catch them whilst you can as we only bake these goodies til Christmas.
Another popular recent addition to the Honeybuns range is the Cinnamon Slice. Any spare trays disappear in record time during our tea breaks. This is another layered shortbread cake bar. The base is spread with a generous layer of date caramel and almond butter. A topping of raisin and cinnamon sponge and a drizzle of Belgian white chocolate finish things off nicely.

Q: Will the cakes last until Christmas?
A: You can choose your own dispatch date when you order online. This is the day the cakes leave our bakery, so you can be sure your cakes have plenty of shelf life when delivered. Full shelf life info can be found online.
Q: What do you recommend instead of mince pies?
A: Personally, I love the new Cinnamon Slice. It tastes autumnal without being over the top as the cinnamon is quite subtle. It goes really well with a mug of hot chocolate or a creamy latte. Best served whilst snuggled up in a favourite armchair beside a cosy wood burner.
